I was really impressed and proud of this student. She worked really hard on this self portrait and it paid off. It definitely went through a this-is-awful-and-is-never-going-to-look-like-me phase, but I could see the potential even then. Nobody showed up to my painting class today so I got to prep for my drawing class. Which means I got to draw TWO portraits today! Portraits are my favorite.
